Valentine's Day's Roses
情人节的玫瑰



Red roses were her favorites,her name was also Rose.
And every year her husband sent them,tied with pretty bows.
The year he died,the roses were delivered to her door.
The card said,"Be my Valentine,"like all the years before.

红玫瑰是她的至爱```玫瑰也是她的名字```
每年她丈夫都送她玫瑰```用美丽的蝴蝶节系住```
这一年```他去世了```玫瑰依然送到家门```
一如既往```卡片上写着"做我的情人"```



Each year he sent her roses,and the note would alays say,
"I love you even more this year,that last year on this day."
"My love for you will always grow, with every passing year,"
She knew this was the last time that the roses would appear.

每年他送她玫瑰```卡片上总是写着``
今年我更加爱你```胜过去年的今天
岁月流逝``我对你的爱有增无减```
她知道这是最后一次玫瑰在她眼前````

She thought,he ordered roses in advance before this day.
Her loving husband did not know, that he would pass away.
He always liked to do things early, way before the time.
Them, if he got too busy, everything would work out fine.

她想:玫瑰是他预定在节日前的````
她亲爱的丈夫不知道自己会离开人世```
他喜欢早早做好事情```提前许多天
这样一来```即使他很忙```一切也会如意称心```




She trimmed the stems, and placed them in a very special vase.
Then, sat the vase beside the portrait of his smiling face.
She would sit foe hours, in her husband's favorite chair.
While staring at his picture, and the roses sitting there.

她修剪枝梗```将花插进一个特殊的花瓶里`
然后```将花瓶放在他的照片旁```
她坐在丈夫最喜欢的椅子里```一小时又一小时`
凝视着照片```凝视默默陪伴她的玫瑰```



A year went by, and it was hard to live without her mate.
With loneliness and soliude, that had become her fate.
Then, the very hour, as on Valentines before.
The doorbell rang, and there were roses, sitting by her door.

一年过去了```没有伴侣的生活很艰难
孤独于寂寞左右相伴```
于是```就在那一刻``像往年的情人节时一样```
门铃响了```玫瑰花就放在门前```

She brought the roses in, and then just looked at then in shock.
Then, went to get the telephone, to call the florist shop.
The owner answered, and she asked him, if he would explain,
Why would someone do this to her, causing her such pain?

她将花拿进去```吃惊的看着它们
然后拿起电话打过去咨询花店```
接通后```她请店主作个解释
为什么有人对她做这件事```使她如此心酸```?




"I know your husband passed away, more than a year ago,"
The owner said, "I knew you'd call, and you would want to know."
"The flowers you received today, were paid for in advance."
"Your husband alwayd planned ahead, he left nothing to chance".

"我知道妳丈夫在一年前去世了```"
店主说:"我知道妳会打电话问个究竟```"
"今天妳收到的玫瑰早已提前预定```"
"妳丈夫总是计划在前```做任何事都不靠侥幸```"




"There is a standing order, that I have on file down here,
And he has paid, well in advance, you'll get them every year.
There also is another thing, that I think you should know.
He wrote a special little card...he did this years ago."

"在我这一份存档中```有一份长期的定单```
他早已付费```因此妳将每年收到玫瑰```
还有一件事我想你也应该知道的```
他在几年前写了一张特别的定单```"

"Then, should ever, I find out that he's no longer here,
That's the card...that should be sent, to you the following year."
She thanked him and hung up the phone, her tears now flowing hard.
Her fingers shaking, as she slowly reached to get the card.

"一旦我发现他不再光临本店```
这张卡片```就该在第二年送到妳手上```"
她谢了他```挂了电话```泪流满面```
她手指颤抖着```慢慢伸去拿那张卡片```



Inside the card, she saw that he had written her a note.
Then, as she stared in total silence, this is what he wrote...
"Hello my love, I know it's been a year since I've been gone,
I hope it hasn't been too hard for you to overcome."

她看见卡片上```他写给她的一封段笔```
在深深的寂静中```她凝视他的留言```
"你好```我的爱人```我知道我已离去一年```
我希望在这一年里对你不是太难````"




"I know it must be lonely, and the pain is very real,
For if it was the other way, Iknow how I would feel.
The love we shared made everthing so beautiful in life.
I loved you more than words can say, you were the perfect wife."

"我知道你一定很孤独```一顶苦不堪言```
因为换做是妳的话```我知道自己会是怎样的感觉```
我们相互的爱使生活中的一切如此美丽```
语言表达不了我对你的爱```你是完美的妻子``"

"You were my friend and lover, you fulfilled my every need.
I know it's only been a year, but please try not to grieve.
I want you to be happy, even when you shed your tears.
That is why the roses will be sent to you for years.

"妳是我的朋友和情人```妳为我做了一切```
我知道现在才过一年```但请不要伤心
我希望你幸福```即使在妳流泪之时```
这就是今后还会有玫瑰送给你的原因```"



"When you get these roses, think of all the happiness,
That we had together, and how both of us were blessed
I have always loved you and I know I always will.
But, my love, you must go on, you have some living still."

I dnow it is not easy, but I hope you find some ways.
The roses will come every year, and they will only stop,
When your door's not answered, when the florist stops to knock."

玫瑰会每年送到家门```直到无人答应```
直到花店主人亲自来叩门```"



"He wil come five times that day, in case you have gone out.
But after his last visit, he will know without a doubt,
To take the roses to the place, where I've instructed him,
And place the roses where we are, together once again."

"那一天```他会来五次```万一你有事外出```
等他去了最后一次```他就会确知无疑
他会将玫瑰送到我指定之处```
将玫瑰放在我们同在的地方```我们又同在一起了```"
