Nedved delighted Buffon, Del Piero stuck with Juventus

Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved admits he was delighted that teammates Gigi Buffon and Alessandro del Piero chose to stay this season.

"They are two world champions who chose to remain in Serie B - this was a clear signal for all of us.

"As for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, it hurts me to see him play with another outfit which has the Scudetto sewn on it," he said.

"I am very happy about the squad's reaction - we didn't start well but now things have changed and that's important," stated Nedved.

"After the draw at Rimini nobody believed we were ready to face this challenge, but we proved that we know what the right mentality for Serie B is.

"We didn't deserve to be punished as much as we were, it would have been more fair had we all had an equal start."
