5月10日《新泽西体育早报》报道了新泽西网队的贾森·基德表示自买合同也不愿再为网队效力.

据该报报道,基德透露如果网队不将自己交易出去他准备自我买断合同离开网队，并在言语中再次透露出对火箭的向往。基德表示自己在网队的工作很不如意，现在他只为总冠军而努力.当被问道退役问题时基德笑者表示有了总冠军戒指后再考虑.的确，拥有麦蒂和姚明组合的火箭队对于那些想要夺冠的大牌球星来说是非常有吸引力的.但是火箭队估计拿不出可以和网队交换基德的筹码，除非基德自己买断合同后自愿降薪加入火箭,否则这桩交易的可能性不大。

New Jersey Sports News reported on May 10th that Jason Kidd will no longer serve for Nets even Nets intends to
continue the contract.

Kidd said he will unilaterally terminate the contract even if Nets refuses to do so and expressed an intention
to join in Houston Rockets. Kidd was not satisfied with the work environment in Nets and said that his target
was the Champion. When asked when he would retire, Kidd replied with a smile, telling that it won't be
possible until he got the Ring for the Champion.
Actually, with McGrady and YAO, Rockets is irresistible for any big figure looking forward to the Champion Ring.
However, the chances are slim because Rockets probably cannot afford to have Kidd from Nets, unless
Kidd himself terminates the contract and join Rockets with a comparatively low remuneration
