Sarah Burton Is Creative Director At Alexander McQueen
Sarah Burton has been named the new creative director of Alexander McQueen, WWD reports. Burton was formerly head of women's wear at Alexander McQueen. McQueen committed suicide in February, 2010.
Burton graduated from London's Central Saint Martins college, also Alexander McQueen's alma mater, in 1997. She began working with McQueen in 1996.
"The creation of modern, beautifully crafted http://www.ralphlaurenskjorte.net/ralph-lauren-dame-c-584.html clothes was at the heart Burberry outlet of Lee's vision. I intend to stay true to his legacy," Burton said in a statement.
She had earned raves for her completion of Alexander McQueen's final collection, which was presented in Paris in March.

This is the best way to cash in some more on McQueen's legacy. Nobody could replace him, well, no problem, let's have someone who can copy him for another couple of years. It's not easy either  I have no doubt Ms Burton is very talented, very sensitive, after all McQueen selected her as his foremost assistant for 15 years, but let's face it  she's never put on her own show, she's never walked the walk like McQueen himself and the rest of them.
