Juventus have won three on the trot, but Didier Deschamps assures the 4-0 scoreline didn’t reflect how tough this match was.
“It wasn’t all easy for us, but we did push Modena hard,” he said of today’s comfortable victory at Turin’s Stadio Olimpico.
“It was nonetheless good to confirm what good work we’d done at Crotone on Tuesday. After we broke the deadlock, we were then able to make the most of the extra space.”
The Bianconeri started the campaign with a 17-point penalty from their Calciopoli trial and are marching towards a possible late promotion push, now on –7.
“It’s already a positive to have cut down some of that handicap in the opening four games, but we’ll see where we are later on. Right now we must have more consistency and try to be more aggressive. It was a satisfying performance, but we have to maintain this attitude.”

“It’s a very important factor and a beautiful arena. To feel the fans near them gives the players an extra push.”
Alessandro Del Piero scored his200th career goal at club level today, almost 14 years after he began his career.
Pinturicchio netted for Padova in the 5-0 Serie B win over Ternana on November 22, 1992. The other 199 goals of his career were scored with Juventus.
